Job Description

Shift 830a-5p



* Chart prep (see chart prep guide) including all info that has been ordered lab, radiology, outside consult reports, genetic reports etc -- at least 2 days in advance, monitoring for add-ons and prepping charts as they are added.

* Maintain scanning box to Remote Ops

* Watch NC during downtime periods outlined above, assisting with non-nurse calls (will seek clarification in unsure on what she can help with -- has reviewed some scenarios with Julie)

* Prior-auths for services (utilizing online systems or calling) BMBX, labs etc. will cross-train

* Scheduling peer to peers for providers will cross train

* Ordering supplies via McKesson login

* Stock and maintain ACP folders, new patient binders and heme folders for POD

* Huddle sheet content and place in Julie's in box daily

* Help manage external message queue and reconcile problems, allergies and med lists (is currently assisting Cecily)

* Managing chart message task requests including additional medical records requests from Cecily and Dr. Aitelli -- (is currently assisting)

* Genetics (orders queue/packets/calls/make copies after patient appt for patient/chart) (will cross train)

o For initial genetics visits (the 1st genetics visit), patient must be called 24-48 hours in advance to make sure they have completed the genetic survey either on paper or online. The appointment cannot take place without this information.

o For genetic results visits (the 2nd visit for results), ensure all results are in the chart from genetic companies that do the testing: Invitae, Ambry, or Myriad. Sometimes results are delayed, and appointments may have to be rescheduled.

Required Skills & Experience

1-3 years of exp in ambulatory outpatient setting

HS diploma

CPR cert

MA cert (CMA or NCMA) requirement

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Oncology experience
