- Install and replace insulation on pipes, ducts, tanks, and other mechanical systems using appropriate materials and methods
- Measure, cut, and fit insulation materials accurately to meet job specifications
- Secure insulation with adhesives, mechanical fasteners, or jacketing multiple material types
- Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and project specifications
- Maintain high standards of quality and precision in all work performed
- Lead, direct, and motivate insulation crews to ensure timely and accurate project completion
- Communicate effectively with clients, supervisors, and other contractors on-site
- Maintain daily job documentation including logs, crew timesheets, material take-offs, and purchase orders
- Apply working knowledge of sheet metal, pipe fitting, welding, and plumbing to coordinate and support insulation installations
- Review daily schedules and verify truck is loaded with the necessary tools, equipment, and materials
- Perform daily vehicle safety checks and pre-job site inspections
- Safely unload and stage materials at job sites for efficient workflow
- Assist with related trade work when necessary to ensure proper integration with mechanical systems.
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Train and mentor junior insulation technicians and laborers
- Promote a strong team culture built on accountability, productivity, and respect
