Network Test Engineer

Insight Global is seeking Network Test Engineer to support testing and validation of private 4G and 5G wireless networks in a lab environment. This role focuses on executing test cases, validating network features, and testing device behavior during mobility and handoff scenarios. The engineer will capture device and network logs, analyze results, and provide detailed daily reports to engineering teams. This position works closely with network, product, and validation teams to ensure private network features perform as expected before production deployment.

•Execute predefined test cases to validate 4G and 5G private network features in lab and pre production environments
•Perform device and network testing using Samsung and Android devices in debug mode
•Validate mobility and handoff scenarios between 5G and 4G, and between macro and private networks
•Capture and analyze device, protocol, and network logs using standard telecom testing tools
•Identify failures, document results, and support troubleshooting with engineering teams
•Provide daily status updates, test reports, and raw log files as requested
•Support testing on partially and fully redundant core network configurations

•5-7 years of hands-on LTE and 5g network or device testing experience
•Knowledge of LTE Layer 2 and Layer 3 protocols
•Experience testing in NSA and SA environments
•Experience using RAN and protocol tools such as QXDM, QCAT, XCAL, XCAT, or Wireshark
•Experience testing Samsung or Android devices in debug mode
•Experience working in lab or pre production network environments

•Experience with IMS and SIP protocol testing
•Multivendor RAN or core network testing exposure
•Prior work in government, defense, or secure network environments
•Previous Verizon experience
