Job Description

As the Sr. Manager Network Planning, you will work alongside the Director of Network Planning on strategy of the global network engineering infrastructure. You will partner across engineering, product, and business teams to help define scalable network strategies, establish architecture standards, and deliver reliable, cost-efficient solutions that support global growth. You will work with the Director to drive long-term network strategy by combining sound architecture, capacity planning, and automation with repeatable delivery model while ensuring the network is resilient, scalable, and aligned to customer and business needs. The Network Engineering Team you will be a part of is responsible for planning and operating network reliably and at scale through strong architecture, standardized design patterns, and increasing levels of automation. The team manages the full lifecycle of space, power, and network assets across the client's global data centers and metro points of presence. This work begins with long-range planning, capacity strategy, and infrastructure readiness, and continues through architecture, design, deployment, activation, commissioning, and continuous improvement through tooling and automation.
Sr. Manager responsibilities include:
-Contribute to global network planning, including long-range capacity strategy, infrastructure prioritization, and investment alignment
-Capacity deployment to ensure infrastructure is delivered in the right locations, at the right time, and at the appropriate scale
-Partner with product, sales, and finance teams to evaluate demand signals and prioritize new market expansion
-Align pre-defined network strategy and deployment with product roadmaps and customer experience goals
-Establish and govern architecture standards, design principles, and scalable planning frameworks
-Work with the Director to translate architectural strategy into repeatable deployment models and implementation patterns
-Contribute to automation strategy, including AI-driven planning, data workflows, and process standardization
-Partner cross-functionally to align network strategy with operational readiness, financial targets, and customer commitments
-Adhere to governance frameworks, performance metrics, and lifecycle management practices

Required Skills & Experience

-4+ years of experience leading network planning, architecture, or infrastructure strategy in large-scale L1/L2/L3 environments with an extensive network engineering/infrastructure background prior to leadership
-Proven experience in capacity planning, infrastructure roadmaps, and investment prioritization
-Strong background in optical, transport, routing, and data center networking
-Proven of experience leading cross-functional programs and aligning technical and business stakeholders
-Demonstrated ability to establish scalable governance and operating models
-Strong experience with automation and AI-driven network planning (Python, APIs, data workflows)
-Solid understanding of fiber, transport systems, power, and outside plant infrastructure
-Excellent communication and executive presentation skills
