Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join the tax team for one of our multinational publicly traded clients in the shipping & logistics industry.

In this position, the Senior Tax Accountant will prepare and review U.S. federal and state corporate income tax returns and related workpapers, as well as assist with quarterly and annual income tax provision calculations under ASC 740. Additional responsibilities include preparing and analyzing book-to-tax differences, deferred tax assets and liabilities, and uncertain tax positions, along with supporting tax accounting. The role also involves assisting with global tax reporting, coordinating with international tax teams, researching and analyzing tax law changes, and assessing their impact on the company.

Additionally, the Senior Tax Accountant will support federal and state tax audits, respond to inquiries from tax authorities, and assist with transfer pricing documentation and intercompany tax matters. The position will contribute to tax planning initiatives, process improvement projects, and the maintenance of strong internal controls and documentation related to tax processes. Success in this role requires close collaboration with finance and accounting teams, as well as effective communication with external advisors.

Required Skills & Experience

- 4 years of public accounting and/or corporate tax experience for a multinational company.
- Strong knowledge of tax provisioning and reporting according to ASC 740.
- Experience with federal and multi-state corporate tax filings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, specifically Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP.
- Previous experience working with a large-scale tax provisioning software.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Master’s degree in taxation OR CPA preferred.
- Previous Big 4 public accounting experience.
- Exposure to international tax concepts.
- Familiarity with Oracle ERP system or OneSource tax software.
