Job Description
The position is responsible for managing the best practice development of our Informatica ETL and Teradata Data Warehouse environments. Designing and implementing complex ETLs and integrations with an emphasis on enabling analytics and reporting. Other responsibilities will include assisting data engineers in setting standards for pipeline development and code quality. The data engineering tasks will include the following:
· Understand business objectives, designs, and document complete solutions to meet those objectives.
· Enhance and create enterprise-grade data flows, mappings, workflows, sessions, and database structures.
· Design complex ETL and T-SQL solutions.
· Maintain, enhance, and contribute to existing data governance quality and standards.
· Provide technical leadership and mentoring to other team members.
The position is also responsible for:
· Creating ETL (Extract, Transform and Load) solutions using best practices for Data Movement.
o This includes but is not limited to generating Source-To-Target Mappings, executing Data Profiling on Source and Target Systems in preparation for ETL solutions.
o Perform tests and validate all data flows and prepare all ETL/ELT processes according to business requirements
· Creating complete ETL solutions with scheduled ETL Jobs for enterprise deployment.
· Creating complex T-SQL code and stored procedures.

Required Skills & Experience
· Bachelor’s degree in a data-focused discipline, or the equivalent in skill and training.
· 7+ years of experience in IT, with strong expertise in data development, integrating and analyzing disparate data sources, and driving data quality improvements.
· Deep understanding of ETL tools such as Informatica PowerCenter and Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC).
· Extensive experience in Data Warehousing development: Star Schema modeling, slowly changing dimensions, row-level security, standard DW architecture/processes, troubleshooting, referential integrity, primary keys, foreign keys, indexes, etc.
· Hands-on experience with Teradata database platform preferred.
· Experience in Full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with strong knowledge of the full lifecycle of database, data warehouse, and data mart design and development.
· Proficiency with development and DevOps tools such as GitHub.
· Strong coding skills in Standard SQL.
· Experience creating Informatica Jobs and MS PowerShell scripts.
· Familiarity with standard change control procedures and documentation best practices for data movement.
