Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Restaurant Engineer to join a leading QSR in Dallas onsite 5 days/ week. This Restaurant Engineer is the technical owner of the Oracle Restaurant technology stack, with a primary focus on Oracle Simphony and enterprise integrations. The role drives modernization, expansion, and integration strategy for a previously stagnant environment, ensuring the restaurant ecosystem can scale across the region.
This position requires a true enterprise restaurant engineer mindset—someone who can define technical direction, strengthen the overall stack, and guide integrations across POS, kitchen systems, eCommerce, labor, inventory, and third‑party vendors.
Key Responsibilities
-Own and evolve the integration architecture for the Oracle Restaurant ecosystem, with Simphony at its core
Design and guide enterprise‑grade integrations, including packages, data models, and integration patterns
-Lead expansion and continuous improvement of the Oracle stack to support growth across the Americas
-Evaluate, integrate, or replace restaurant technologies such as KDS, kiosks, eCommerce, labor, and inventory platforms
-Serve as the technical authority for POS, kitchen, and operational systems, ensuring scalability and reliability
-Partner with Product, Operations, IT, and vendors to align the technology stack with long‑term business goals
-Produce clear technical documentation, system diagrams, and integration guidance for internal teams and partners

Required Skills & Experience
-5+ years in Solution Engineering, Systems Integration, or Solution Architecture in Restaurant enviornment
-Deep hands‑on experience with Oracle Restaurant Systems, specifically Oracle Simphony
-Strong understanding of POS database structures, Oracle integrations, and associated cloud architecture
-Proven experience designing integrations between POS, kitchen systems, digital platforms, eCommerce, labor, and inventory systems
-Enterprise‑level mindset with the ability to think upstream—designing for scale, longevity, and business impact (not just execution)
-Demonstrated ability to give technical direction, influence architecture decisions, and lead others
-Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder alignment skills
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
-Experience integrating or replacing enterprise labor and inventory management systems
-Exposure to IoT‑enabled restaurant technology or smart kitchen platforms
-Experience supporting multi‑region or Americas‑based rollouts
-Familiarity with international teams or vendors
