Job Description

The Pre-Construction Construction Design Manager oversees the design coordination process on design-build and design-assist projects, ensuring design intent aligns with project scope, budget, schedule, and constructability requirements. This role acts as the key liaison between the client, design consultants, and the construction team to translate project vision into executable construction documents. Think of this role as a Project Manager dealing with the pre-construction side of work. Understanding client needs and designing the preliminary scope and blueprinting that would then be handed off to construction project managers to actually build/implement.

Required Skills & Experience

· Minimum 7–10 years of experience in design management, design-build coordination, or technical project management.
· Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
· Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and design collaboration platforms
Strong knowledge of building codes, design standards, and construction practices.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

· Experience with design-build and integrated project delivery (IPD) models preferred.
