Job Description

The Corporate Paralegal supports the legal department and business operations of a fast-paced organization. This role is responsible for assisting with corporate governance, international legal entities, franchise operations, insurance matters, and compliance across various jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities:

-Assist with the formation, maintenance, and dissolution of domestic and international legal entities, including preparing resolutions and managing entity records.

-Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with vendors, suppliers, franchisees, and business partners to ensure compliance with company standards and legal regulations.

-Support corporate governance activities, including preparing board materials, shareholder communications, and legal documentation for meetings and transactions.

-Facilitate compliance with regulatory and legal requirements by tracking filing deadlines and ensuring documents are filed correctly.

-Assist with insurance claims, renewals, and risk management processes relevant to QSR operations.

-Coordinate with internal departments (finance, tax, HR, operations) and external counsel to gather necessary information and documentation for corporate filings and compliance.

-Provide day-to-day support for legal team operations and assist in other ad-hoc legal tasks as required.

• International experience (international business, not living abroad solely.)
• Franchise exposure (multi-unit background)
• Insurance background
