Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Senior Network Infrastructure Project Manager is responsible for leading complex, large‑scale network infrastructure initiatives across enterprise data center environments. This role partners closely with network engineering, systems, facilities, security, and vendor teams to plan and deliver network refreshes, lifecycle replacements, expansions, and modernization efforts across multiple data center sites. The ideal candidate brings deep experience managing data center network projects end‑to‑end, with a strong understanding of network technologies, operational dependencies, and risk management in highly available environments. Key responsibilities include:
-Lead end‑to‑end delivery of network infrastructure projects within data center environments, including planning, execution, risk management, and closeout
-Manage large‑scale initiatives such as network refreshes, hardware lifecycle replacements, capacity expansions, migrations, and new site builds
-Partner closely with network engineering, systems, security, facilities, and operations teams to ensure technical alignment and operational readiness
-Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, dependencies, and resource allocation across multiple sites and stakeholders
-Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to support hardware procurement, installation, testing, cutovers, and decommissioning activities
-Identify and mitigate risks related to uptime, change management, and operational impact in mission‑critical data center environments
-Drive governance, documentation, and reporting through tools such as ServiceNow, Smartsheet, MS Project, or similar platforms
-Lead stakeholder communications, executive updates, and cross‑functional meetings to ensure transparency and alignment
-Ensure projects adhere to enterprise standards, security requirements, and compliance frameworks relevant to data center operations
-Support continuous improvement of project delivery processes, standards, and best practices within infrastructure and network programs

Required Skills & Experience
-8+ years of experience in IT or infrastructure project management, with direct ownership of network‑focused initiatives
-Proven experience managing projects within data center environments (colocation, enterprise, or hyperscale)
-Strong working knowledge of network infrastructure concepts including LAN/WAN, routing, switching, firewalls, and network hardware lifecycle
-Experience leading projects involving end‑of‑life (EOL) replacements, refresh programs, and multi‑site rollouts
-Demonstrated ability to manage cross‑functional technical teams and vendors in complex, high‑availability environments
-Strong risk management, dependency tracking, and change management skills
-Proficiency with project management and service management tools (ServiceNow, Smartsheet, MS Project, Excel, etc.)
-Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage engineers, operations teams, and executive stakeholders
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
-Experience supporting global or multi‑region data center portfolios
-PMP or equivalent project management certification
-Familiarity with data center operational standards, maintenance windows, and change control processes
-Exposure to compliance or security requirements relevant to data centers (e.g., SOC, ISO, NIST)
-Background working alongside network engineers in highly technical environments (hands‑on understanding, not just oversight)
