Job Description

Insight Global is hiring a Data Engineer to join our Fortune 100 Financial Services client in Dallas, TX. This role will be supporting the firm's research division and responsibilities will include horizontal enablement, data solution delivery, semantic modeling, business metrics and analytics, data visualization, software craftsmanship, and version control, and knowledge of SDLC. This is a contract role requiring 5 days onsite at their Dallas, TX location.

Required Skills & Experience

Key Responsibilities
 Horizontal Enablement: Partner with various GIR engineering teams to understand their data needs, providing them with reusable data assets, optimized pipelines, and unified data models that accelerate their development cycles.
 Data Solution Delivery: Design, build, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines that ingest, transform, and curate research, market, and operational data using the firms Lakehouse.
 Semantic Modeling: Utilize the Alloy/Legend platform and PURE modeling language to define logical data models, map disparate data sources, and enforce data quality and governance standards.
 Business Metrics & Analytics: Translate complex functional business requirements into concrete technical specifications, defining and calculating key business and operational metrics.
 Data Visualization: Design, develop, and maintain interactive, high-performance dashboards in Tableau and PowerBI to deliver actionable insights to business stakeholders and engineering leadership.
 Software Craftsmanship: Write clean, optimized, and maintainable code in Python, Java, and SQL.
 Version Control & SDLC: Manage the software development lifecycle using Git and CI/CD pipelines, adhering to firm-wide engineering standards.
