A nationwide environmental engineering company that specializes in the water/wastewater industry is seeking a mid-level Building Mechanical Engineer to join their team. This person will be joining a team of 10 building mechanical engineers to work closely with all other engineering disciplines (structural, electrical, etc.) as well as the CAD Services group. This person will have a dynamic workload, including collaborating on multiple projects daily, and servicing workload from across the entire US. The primary subject matter that this engineer will be specialized in is HVAC and plumbing, but will also include other advanced, mechanical industrial systems related to water/wastewater treatment. Outside of engineering production, this person's day to day responsibilities will also include coordination meetings to collaborate on deadlines and tasks for each project, reporting/documenting workload and updates, etc. This role will not require heavy design responsibilities daily, but background knowledge in mechanical design is a plus. This role will be a direct hire position, with a starting salary range of $75,000 - $110,000 (this range is subject to change based on professional experience and skills presented in interviews). 1-7 years of professional, mechanical engineering experience
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (EIT strongly preferred)
HVAC and Plumbing Design experience
Strong understanding of HVAC load calculation software
Strong knowledge of Mechanical, Plumbing, and Energy Codes and Standards
Experience using Bluebeam for CAD Redlines OR Experience in Revit.
Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Ability to work at least 3 days/week in one of the following office locations: Dallas, TX; Austin, TX; Phoenix, AZ; Boise, ID; New York, NY; or large variety of locations in Florida
Experience in fire protection, odor control, or generator system design.
