Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an onsite Operations Systems, Assistant Project Manager for a Real Estate Digital Trust Client. As a candidate for the BMS System Administrator position, you will report to the Senior Systems Install Manager and work within a team of System Administrators, consultants, and project teams. Your primary responsibility will be to facilitate the maintenance of BMS systems through site-by-site projects.

You will coordinate with local site personnel and vendors when onsite presence is required, manage the submission and approval of work orders and Method of Procedures (MOPs), and field questions from vendors for Requests for Information (RFIs). Additionally, you will catalog new and existing risks and handle any escalations within the operations or IT organizations.

Building BMS maintenance projects are expected to last indefinitely. At a tactical level, your role will involve coordinating day-to-day activities for each assigned building, setting up regular calls to facilitate information transfer and communication, and managing daily system issues and troubleshooting problems as necessary.

More specifically, you will:

-Schedule calls with appropriate personnel, including the selected BMS vendor and commissioning agents.
-Document and report progress, risks, and issues for each assigned building regularly.
-Escalate concerns to team management.
-Capture and document possible changes in scope and facilitate discussion and approval of any changes.
-Coordinate with IT, DCIM, and Alarm Distribution System resources to ensure minimal localized disruption.
-Mitigate risks through proper MOP creation and expert surveys.
-Manage the implementation of BMS systems per standards.
-Work directly with each vendors project manager to ensure adherence to industry-standard project management practices.
-Manage any warranty issues related to completed works for the duration of the program.
-Review submittals from BMS vendors to ensure compliance with standards and operational needs.

Pay Range - $30/hr - $45/hr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience

-Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, industrial engineering, or a related field (relevant work experience considered).
-1+ years of experience partnering with organizations and vendors to manage BMS, DCIM, EPMS, and other operational systems in data centers or mission-critical environments.
-Knowledge of building environmental controls and alarm systems, with familiarity in BMS systems from Schneider Electric, Automated Logic, Tridium, Siemens, or Honeywell.
-Understanding of Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) and Energy Management systems.
-Familiarity with data aggregation and communication protocols such as Modbus, BACnet, SNMP, and Web Services.
-Team player with troubleshooting skills and the ability to provide routine training and system orientations.
-Basic understanding of cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities.
-Ability to analyze complex project documents and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
-Strong IT platform and network knowledge, with effective communication skills for resolving technical issues.
-Proficiency in MS Office applications, Project, and Visio (or similar products).
-Ability to interpret blueprints and schematics.
-Experience with MS Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent systems.
