AI Product Owner

Overview
We are seeking an experienced AI Product Owner to lead the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of AI-powered solutions leveraging the AWS product suite. This individual will serve as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business needs into AI capabilities and product requirements. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of AI/ML concepts, experience working with AWS AI services, and a proven track record of managing product roadmaps in an Agile environment.
The AI Product Owner will partner closely with business leaders, architects, data scientists, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to define and deliver innovative AI solutions that improve operational efficiency, customer experience, and business outcomes.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
• Gather, document, and prioritize business requirements for AI-driven products and initiatives.
• Own and manage the AI product roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and organizational priorities.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify opportunities where AI and automation can create measurable value.
• Translate business requirements into user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical requirements for development teams.
• Work closely with AI engineers, data scientists, cloud architects, and AWS teams throughout the product lifecycle.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily standups, and retrospectives.
• Evaluate AWS AI and Machine Learning services to support product strategy and solution development.
• Monitor project progress, dependencies, risks, and blockers while communicating updates to leadership.
• Define KPIs and success metrics to measure AI product performance and adoption.
• Drive user acceptance testing (UAT) efforts and validate delivered functionality against business expectations.
• Create project plans, implementation roadmaps, and executive-level status reports.
• Stay current on emerging AI technologies, AWS innovations, and industry best practices.

Must-Have Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner
• Experience delivering technology or digital transformation projects.
• Strong understanding of AI and Generative AI concepts:
o Large Language Models (LLMs)
o Generative AI
o Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)
o Prompt Engineering
o Machine Learning Fundamentals
• Experience gathering and translating business requirements into technical solutions.
• Proven experience managing product backlogs and roadmaps in an Agile environment.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience working with cloud platforms, preferably AWS (examples listed below)

• Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.

• Commercial airlines experience
