Job Description
A Chemical Manufacturing company is seeking a highly experienced Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Project Engineer to support a suite of brownfield PSM projects focused on closing safety gaps and enhancing reliability across the Conroe manufacturing site. This role involves hands-on engineering, project scoping, and technical leadership in instrumentation and electrical systems. This role will be working onsite at their Conroe plant 4 days/week, with potential opportunity to work a 9/80 schedule.
This role is paying anywhere between 70 - 90/hr. depending upon years of experience and education level.

Required Skills & Experience
10-15 years of I&E experience, with strong project focus on PSM related initiatives and projects
Experience with instrumentation relating to refineries or petrochemical including but not limited to: Flow meters, pressure/level/temperature sensors, analyzers, control valves
Strong background in instrumentation design, safety systems, and brownfield project execution.
Experience leading design and execution of I&E scopes for safety-critical projects (SIFs, pSIFs, safety PLCs, DCS integration).
Experience performing instrumentation loop design, spec reviews, commissioning, and MITs.
Experience conducting SIL calculations and ensuring compliance with ISA 61508/61511 and NFPA 70 standards.
