Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an IT Field Support Engineer to join a dynamic team providing hands-on IT support in a fast-paced industrial environment. This role ensures smooth operation of IT systems across multiple sites, focusing on hardware, software, network troubleshooting, and user support.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
• Based in Channelview, TX office, but will travel to project sites in Houston/West Texas areas as needed.
•Onsite Support: Act as the primary IT contact for field staff, managing tickets & resolving incidents while providing boots-on-the-ground IT presence, supporting infrastructure at various project sites.
• Remote Support: When not onsite, handle IT support tickets, contribute to internal initiatives, and assist with system maintenance.
• Infrastructure Management: Troubleshoot and maintain Layer 2 & Layer 3 fiber networks, Cisco and Meraki systems.
• Collaboration: Work closely with a 10-person team, including 4 support engineers, to ensure seamless IT operations across all locations.

Required Skills & Experience

Must-Haves
• 2–3 years of experience in helpdesk or IT support roles.
• Strong familiarity with Layer 2 & Layer 3 fiber networking.
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office, and networking basics.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco and Meraki technologies.
• Willingness to learn and adapt.
• Comfortable with monthly travel to field sites.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Plusses
• Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• Recent college graduate with a strong technical foundation.
• Experience working in construction or similar field environments.
