Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior, Technical Accounting and Reporting professional to join our dynamic accounting team. This role offers a unique opportunity to leverage a diverse accounting skill set, encompassing full-cycle GL management, technical accounting, and financial reporting. The position reports to the Director of Accounting.

Technical Accounting & Research

Front-line review of new contracts
Research and apply US GAAP and SEC standards (ASC 606, 842, 815, 805, 470, 718)
Prepare technical memos and one-pagers on accounting treatment
Document and implement new accounting pronouncements
Financial Reporting

Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Support quarterly SEC reporting (10-K, 10-Q)
Provide variance analysis and financial commentary
Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and audit support
General Ledger Management

Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close
Review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial analyses
Maintain and improve accounting policies and procedures
Internal Controls & Collaboration

Support internal controls over financial reporting
Collaborate with FP&A and business units to ensure accurate financial data
Participate in special projects as needed

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA (Required)
35 years of experience in public accounting (Big 4 or mid-tier) or public company environment
Strong understanding of US GAAP, SEC reporting, and internal controls
Hands-on experience with ASC 606 and SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q)
Excellent communication, documentation, and analytical skills
Proficiency in Excel and ERP/accounting systems

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Masters degree in Accounting or related field
Experience in manufacturing industry
Background in technical accounting advisory or audit
