Job Description
The Senior Accountant will play a key role in the general ledger close process, U.S. GAAP financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with internal control requirements. This position requires a hands-on, detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both public accounting and industry, preferably within a public company environment.
Key Responsibilities:
General Ledger Close: Participate in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP and support internal reporting needs.
Internal Controls Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal control requirements; assist with documentation and testing of controls.
Technical Accounting: Research and document technical accounting issues and ensure proper application of accounting standards.
Audit Support: Prepare schedules and provide support for internal and external audits.
Process Improvements: Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist in implementing changes.
Ad-hoc Analysis & Projects: Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and participate in special projects as assigned.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with FP&A, Operations, and other departments to ensure accurate financial information.

Required Skills & Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
Experience:
3–5 years of progressive accounting experience.
Experience in a publicly traded company and/or public accounting firm preferred.
Certifications: CPA or progress toward CPA preferred.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle).
Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas).
Soft Skills:
Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
