Job Description
We are seeking an Entry‑Level Engineer to support power distribution design projects for utility and energy clients. This role is ideal for a recent engineering graduate who is eager to learn distribution design, field data collection, utility standards, and project coordination while working alongside experienced engineers and designers.
You will assist in developing construction‑ready design packages for overhead and underground distribution systems and support both office and field activities.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in preparing distribution engineering design packages, drawings, and documentation
Support field investigations, site walks, measurements, and as‑built updates
Use power distribution software such as Katapult, Distribution Design Studio (DDS), and similar tools
Apply utility standards, design guidelines, and basic NESC requirements
Prepare material lists, staking sheets, and project documentation
Coordinate with designers, senior engineers, and project managers to resolve design questions
Maintain accurate records, notes, and field photos for project files
Support permitting, easement reviews, and right‑of‑way documentation
Participate in training and mentorship to grow technical engineering skills

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, Structural, or a closely related engineering field
Strong interest in power distribution, utilities, or infrastructure engineering
Ability to learn distribution design software (Katapult, DDS, etc.)
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and documentation skills
Willingness to perform field work as needed
Ability to read maps, drawings, and basic construction plans
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Internship or co‑op experience in utilities, construction, or infrastructure
Exposure to CAD, GIS, or drafting tools
Familiarity with utility standards
Understanding of basic electrical or structural engineering principles
