Job Description
Our client is seeking a Cost Controller to join their team in Baytown, TX. The Cost Controller will be responsible for overseeing budgeting, cost tracking, and financial reporting across projects and operations. This role is critical to ensuring financial efficiency, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and supporting strategic decision-making. On a daily basis, the Cost Controller will prepare and analyze cost reports, variance analyses, and financial summaries for stakeholders. They will collaborate with project managers and cross functional teams to validate expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities. They will maintain accurate records of budgets, contracts, invoices, and change orders, and support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting cycles. The ideal candidate will have strong financial acumen, excellent communication skills, and experience in managing project costs in a dynamic environment.

Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience with cost controls
Experience with project cost tracking and forecasting
Oil and gas industry experience, preferred experience working for an EPC company
Bachelors degree in finance, accounting, or related field
