Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer focused on land development to join a confidential company in the greater Austin, TX area. This is a full-time, permanent role with competitive salary, equity, and benefits.

Role overview:
In this role, the Civil Engineer will be on the construction projects team, and will be responsible for designing, building, and activating critical production facility infrastructure for a massive, 1M+ square foot campus. This role is very hands-on and requires candidates to both plan AND execute new facility construction/renovation projects, primarily focused on heavy civil and utility components.

This Civil Engineer will be in a highly collaborative environment and work cross functionally with construction PMs, facilities engineers, designers, vendors/suppliers, and internal customers. This role will own projects from start to finish, so it is imperative to have strong prior experience in a high-ownership role with little oversight.

Responsibilities:
- Develop and issue drawings, designs, documentation, and reports for land development projects
- Calculations for drainage and grading, stormwater control facilities, water quality, domestic water distribution, and other underground utilities
- Do what it takes to obtain local, state, and federal permits related specifically to land development and utility construction projects
- Manage all civil tasks associated with field construction projects, including quality control, conflict resolution, and team coordination
- Coordinate and direct a multi-discipline contractor team
- Manage communication with contractors, fabricators, owners, and internal stakeholders to develop project requirements, schedules, and cost estimated prior to project implementation
- Resolve design and construction conflicts real-time
