Job Description
Our Factory Engineering Team is looking to hire an experienced VDC Specialist. This person will be directly responsible for coordinating with various disciplines within the company to manage the VDC model and various applications of VDC for the projects in Austin, Texas. The ideal candidate will have experience working with large, complex projects and can multi-task and collaborate technically with several disciplines.
Responsibilities:
The VDC Specialist is expected to manage and support the development of a data rich and accurate VDC model.
The VDC Specialist will set the course for the digital delivery of large and fast-paced projects, working with multi-discipline leads and executive management and will support efforts from planning and conceptual effort through construction, commissioning and hand-over to the Operations teams
Responsible for proper set up and maintenance and management of large, federated building models involving 8-10 design and engineering disciplines or more. Projects are typically cloud-hosted and span across multiple internal and external design teams in different geographies and time zones.
Responsible for detailed MEP/CSA Clash Detection using Revizto / Navisworks to resolve model coordination issues before they are issued for construction.
Scope of responsibility will include coordination of overall accuracy & completeness of the models, physical & operational spatial coordination, timely implementation of design or clash resolution of any issues, and data integrations for other disciplines according to an aggressive schedule.
Introduce, support, and oversee the implementation of industry leading VDC technology.

Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s degree in Construction Management or Civil, Architectural, or Mechanical Engineering and/or evidence of exceptional experience.
3-5+ years of hands-on experience working with Engineering and Project Management teams on high-tech infrastructure and operational facilities (semiconductor, solar, battery, etc.).
Proven expertise in Revit, Navisworks and reality capture applications.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, IFC, data interoperability and general awareness of other VDC and parametric design applications
Experience with coding, visual programming (C#, Python, Dynamo), and database integrations are preferred.
Experience interfacing with construction and cost control on quantity takeoffs and alignment between Work Breakdown Structure based cost tracking using VDC parameters
Experience working with facility management teams in utilizing VDC for facility operations
