Job Description
A client of Insight Global is seeking a detail oriented Project Manager to oversee sustaining projects, qualification workflows and the procurement and allocation of optic modules across various initiatives. The ideal candidate will serve as a central point of contact from cross functional teams, ensuring project alignment, financial discipline and effective stakeholder communication. A strong candidate will have worked with hardware devices (optic modules, routers, switches) or have a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering exc.
You will be responsible for defining project priorities, maintaining schedules and keeping all parties in line with milestone delivery. Ensure collaboration between engineering, manufacturing, and external suppliers. You will track the progress and monitor the status and execution of testing schedules. You will be responsible for executing purchase requests and maintain budget integrity. You will facilitate team meetings, deliver status reports, and brief stakeholders. You will be in charge of maintaining program documentation and represent project status during operation reviews. You will manage the procurement and distribution of optic modules, track inventory levels, and monitor purchase order lifecycles. Lastly you will partner with Engineering PM (EPM) to forecast quarterly module needs and reconcile against historical data to resolve supply gaps.
You will be responsible for managing multiple product lines at a time.
An hourly rate expectation is $53/hr

Required Skills & Experience
-5+ years of Project Management, procurement, or supply chain operations
-Bachelors Degree in hardware engineering, mechanical engineering or Equivalent years of experience in hardware or mechanical engineering
-Past experience with Ariba, Smart Buy, and general PO knowledge
-Experience with Jira/Confluence
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Onsite 5 days a week in Austin TX
Must have great communication skills
