Job Description

Insight Global is seeking for a detail-oriented and self-sufficient Tax Accountant to join a growing real estate investment and development client based in Austin, TX. This is a newly created role designed to support the CFO, who has been managing tax responsibilities in addition to other executive functions due to rapid company growth. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in partnership taxation, excellent communication skills, and a proactive mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of tax compliance, including preparation and review of federal, state, and local partnership tax filings (K-1s).
Lead tax planning and strategy for acquisitions, dispositions, and development projects.
Collaborate with external tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate filings.
Prepare investor tax packages and support related communications.
Identify and implement process improvements to streamline tax workflows.
Work closely with the CFO, Controller, and Property Accounting team on cross-functional initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

CPA license (or actively pursuing).
2+ years or more of tax experience, preferably in real estate or public accounting.
Strong understanding of partnership taxation and multi-entity structures.
Excellent communication skillscomfortable speaking with investors and internal stakeholders.
High attention to detail with strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and tax softwares.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience in real estate development or property management.
Positive, team-oriented attitude.
Interest in leveraging technology to modernize tax processes.
