Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Senior Director of Design Automation to work on site in Austin, TX and support the strategy and introduction of products based on unique and highly differentiated capabilities of a preeminent foundry for semiconductor systems and defense electronics companies. Their mission is to advance the state-of-the-art in critical semiconductor domains such as advanced packaging, and in the process to help restore U.S. leadership in semiconductor manufacturing. They are developing cutting-edge semiconductor manufacturing technology that will define future roadmaps of semiconductor devices including logic, memory, 3D packaged devices, including thermal management, etc. This position has a key focus in shaping the strategy and development of innovative design automation solutions that support next-generation semiconductor advanced packaging technologies and devices. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to define and deliver design automation capabilities that leverage the unique technological advantages of a preeminent foundry.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development and execution of design automation strategies, including Electronic Design Automation (EDA), Advanced Design Kits (ADKs), and Process Design Kits (PDKs).
Collaborate with engineering, product, and customer teams to define requirements and deliver robust design solutions from concept through commercialization.
Act as a senior technical leader and customer-facing representative to communicate the value of emerging technologies and ensure alignment with client needs.
Drive integration of design automation tools with advanced semiconductor technologies including logic, memory, 3D packaging, and thermal management.
Support the roadmap and introduction of novel semiconductor manufacturing processes.
Ensure scalability, robustness, and reliability of design infrastructure for current and future product families.

Required Skills & Experience

Minimum 10 years of experience in Electronic Design Automation or closely related domains.
Proven track record in developing and deploying Advanced Design Kits (ADKs) and Process Design Kits (PDKs).
Demonstrated experience in product strategy, from initial concept to market introduction, and at least 5 years of managing or supervising programs
Strong customer engagement skills, with the ability to translate technical requirements into strategic solutions.
Advanced degree (Masters or Ph.D.) in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Familiarity with cutting-edge technologies in advanced packaging and heterogeneous integration.
