Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Senior Director of Business Strategy to work on site in Austin, TX and support the strategy and introduction of products based on unique and highly differentiated capabilities of a preeminent foundry for semiconductor systems and defense electronics companies. Their mission is to advance the state-of-the-art in critical semiconductor domains such as advanced packaging, and in the process to help restore U.S. leadership in semiconductor manufacturing. They are developing cutting-edge semiconductor manufacturing technology that will define future roadmaps of semiconductor devices including logic, memory, 3D packaged devices, including thermal management, etc. This key leadership role will be responsible for managing key partnerships and the product lifecycle, and collaborate with engineering, and manufacturing to deliver next-generation advanced 3D packaging capabilities. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the semiconductor industry, packaging technologies, and a proven track record of driving product strategies and technology platforms from concept to commercialization.





Responsibilities:

Identifies key priorities in advanced semiconductor technology roadmaps to ensure they create immediate impact in the advanced packaging semiconductor design and manufacturing sector.

Strategic Planning & Execution: Develop and execute business strategies, including market entry, product roadmaps, and competitive positioning.

Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, build strategic partnerships, and negotiate key contracts.

Revenue Growth: Drive revenue growth through the implementation of strategic initiatives and the successful execution of product-oriented business plans.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and manufacturing as the key leader of product management, marketing, and sales teams to ensure alignment and successful product launches.

Leadership & Team Management: Manage a multi-disciplinary, highly qualified team to achieve business strategy goals.

Industry Expertise: Possess a deep understanding of the semiconductor industry, including technologies, trends, and competitive dynamics.

Market Analysis & Insights: Conduct in-depth market research, identify emerging trends, and analyze customer needs and competitive landscapes. Execute product cost analysis and total cost of ownership for the foundry products.

Communication & Presentation Skills: Effectively communicate complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Analytical Skills: Use data and analytics to inform decision-making for total cost of ownership and product pricing.

Required Skills & Experience

MS or PHD in electrical engineering, or other technically relevant discipline

At least 10 years of a combination of technical and business contributions in the commercial or defense semiconductor industry including experience with product strategy and at least 5 years of managing or supervising programs

Expertise with semiconductor device physics

Strong understanding of advanced packaging technologies and applications, and/or semiconductor device design, build, test.

Significant knowledge of commercial and/or defense microelectronics market dynamics

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Strong business acumen, with a focus on total cost of ownership financial and product cost analysis, and cost optimization requirements.

Proven track record of successful product launches and revenue generation based on product and market segmentation in the semiconductor industry .

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and lead cross-functional team
