Job Description

Rotating Equipment Engineer

Overview
Tesla is looking for a Mechanical Engineer with experience designing and selecting pumps, compressors, fans, agitators, and other rotating equipment used in industrial facilities. This person will help choose equipment, work with vendors, review designs, and support installation and startup.

Responsibilities
Select and specify pumps, compressors, fans, blowers, agitators, and other rotating equipment.
Review vendor drawings, calculations, and equipment packages.
Support equipment procurement and vendor selection.
Help develop equipment standards and specifications.
Troubleshoot equipment issues during construction and startup.
Work with process, piping, electrical, civil, and structural teams.
Conduct field walkdowns to verify equipment installation.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
5+ years of experience with rotating equipment in industrial facilities.
Experience with:
Pumps
Compressors
Fans and blowers
Agitators and mixers
Conveyors and material handling equipment
Knowledge of API, ANSI, and ISO industry standards.
Experience with engineering software such as AutoCAD, Plant 3D, SolidWorks, Inventor, or ANSYS.
Preferred
PE License.
Experience in EPC, oil & gas, chemical processing, mining, manufacturing, or refining industries.
