Insight Global is looking for a Research Scientist to join the team of a large Semiconductor firm. In this role, the Scientist will spend their day modeling chemical reactions in the gas phase and on semiconductor surfaces at a quantum mechanical scale. They will integrate these quantum mechanical reactions into fluid dynamic models to enhance the understanding and optimization of vapor and liquid etch processes. Build fluid dynamic models into simulation software to optimize tool design and participate in system engineering specification development, documentation, and prototype implementation. Collaboration with the development team to define project strategy and deliverables is essential, as is fully documenting their work to ensure colleagues can maintain engineering simulations and code. Strong problem-solving skills and structured project management are crucial, as the candidate will work in a team environment to find solutions to complex problems.

- Completed PhD or 4 years of experience with Bachelors or Masters degree
- Experience modeling quantum mechanical chemical reactions with Gaussian, VASP, or Quantum Espresso
- Strong communication and ability to present to stakeholders local and international\
