Job Description
An employer is seeking 2 GMS Application Engineers to join their team in Austin, Tx. The engineers will be joining the Grid and Market Solutions (GMS) team for a large electric provider. The GMS Application Engineers will be responsible for supporting the application portfolio and bring them into production. Knowledge of Power Flow, State Estimator, Contingency Analysis, Load Frequency Control, etc are crucial for being successful in this position. He or she will be involved in the designing, development, testing, validation and implementation of various modifications or enhancements to those EMS applications. The hourly pay for this role ranges from $70 - $85/hr depending on experience and feedback from the client.

Required Skills & Experience
7+ years of experience as a GMS Application Engineer with knowledge of Power Flow, State Estimator, Contingency Analysis, Load Frequency Control, Dynamic Stability Analysis, Load Forecasting, Operator Training Simulator (OTS) etc
Hands on development experience with Python or Pearl Scripting
Linux OS experience
Ability to write SQL queries to pull data from internal archives to help with analysis
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience working with a Power system Vendor company such as GE, Hitachi, Siemens, AspenTech on power system application modules.
