Job Description
Insight Global is hiring for a Metrology Equipment Engineer for a leading semiconductor company in Austin, Texas. This individual will be responsible for:
-Monitor, control, and continuously improve state-of-the-art 200mm semiconductor manufacturing equipment
-Serve as the tool owner responsible for diagnosing and resolving the most complex tool errors and failures
-Perform preventive maintenance and train team members on proper PM procedures and best practices
-Review and analyze Statistical Process Control (SPC) charts to ensure process quality and respond to out-of-control conditions, including defect troubleshooting
-Identify improvement opportunities to optimize tool safety, quality, availability, throughput, and cost of parts and service
-Clearly communicate performance issues, improvements, and best practices to the broader team
-Support the installation, startup, and qualification of new equipment
-Maintain responsibility for a safe working environment in and around assigned tools

Required Skills & Experience
- 8 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in engineering or physics
- 8 years of Preventative & Corrective Maintenance or Equipment Engineering expertise in defect and/or parametric metrology systems such as PUMA, SP1, CDSEM, film thickness
-Able to train, mentor, and coach junior engineers and maintenance technicians
-Ability to understand organization’s quality requirement process and be responsible for customer satisfaction while working in a competitive team and adhering customer build/test instructions.
-Experience in troubleshooting electomechanical optical systems and read schematic diagrams
-Root cause troubleshooting experience and expertise
