Job Description

An employer is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their growing team in Austin, TX. The ME will be part of a startup robotic company that is looking to hit a go-live production deadline and is in need of additional support. He or she will be primarily responsible for providing heavy CAD and design work, create clear and complete design documentation, drawings, and specifications, participate in technical design reviews and cross-functional discussions and help to collaborate with suppliers, contract manufacturers, and internal manufacturing teams. This role is onsite 5 days a week and the hourly pay ranges from $70 - $80/hr.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of experience in a ME role focusing on design work

Strong understanding of materials selection, GD&T, and tolerance stack-up analysis

Hands on experience with CAD - Siemens NX

Bachelor's degree in ME, Mechatronics or similar

Experience integrating mechanical designs with electronics, software, and motion systems

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Familiarity with tooling, fixtures, automation, or test equipment design is a plus
