Job Description

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to support daily field operations across Austin and surrounding areas. This individual will play a critical role in handling residential service calls, troubleshooting HVAC systems, and ensuring a high-quality customer experience in occupied homes and construction sites.
This is a contract-to-hire opportunity, allowing both the technician and the company to ensure a strong long-term fit.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems across residential and some commercial properties
• Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC equipment issues, including advanced digital and high-efficiency systems
• Complete service calls for both homeowners and builder clients, including warranty and repair work
• Support new construction projects by completing work orders across various stages of the build process
• Interpret blueprints and utilize HVAC-related software for job execution
• Document all work performed, including service details, photos, and updates using company systems (e.g., BuilderTrend)
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety standards and local HVAC codes
• Communicate effectively with customers, builders, and internal team members to provide updates and ensure satisfaction
• Participate in an on-call rotation for occasional evening and weekend emergency service needs
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Pay: $30-$32/hr

Required Skills & Experience

• EPA Certification
• Minimum 3+ years of HVAC technician experience
• 3 years of experience working with Mitsubishi HVAC systems
• Working knowledge of GE HVAC equipment
• Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in field environments
• Ability to read blueprints and work within construction timelines
• Strong customer service skills and ability to work inside occupied homes professionally
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to perform physically demanding work and lift equipment as needed
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
