Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Facility Manager to work on site in Austin, TX and support the strategy and introduction of products based on unique and highly differentiated capabilities of a preeminent foundry for semiconductor systems and defense electronics companies. Their mission is to advance the state-of-the-art in critical semiconductor domains such as advanced packaging, and in the process to help restore U.S. leadership in semiconductor manufacturing. They are developing cutting-edge semiconductor manufacturing technology that will define future roadmaps of semiconductor devices including logic, memory, 3D packaged devices, including thermal management, etc.

This position is responsible for managing contractors and all support personnel to configure the fab and facilities areas to prepare the fabrication area for the production of semiconductor wafers in Q2 of 2025. This includes maintaining financial targets, materials and scheduling plans to ensure operational startup is on time. Post fab startup, the role will be modified to an Operations Management Production role. This will include management of Production, Facilities, Equipment and Engineering teams. An additional hire will be responsible for all evening operations requirements and report to this role.

Responsibilities:

Facilitation/Maintenance of Following Systems: Electrical Feeds to Site, Site Wide Monitoring (Control Room), Ultra Pure Water Gas Scrubber System, Cooling Towers, Chemical Distribution, Gas Distribution and Alarm System, Fire Alarm System, HVAC System, High Purity Cleanroom Welding, Office Area Setup, and General Site Maintenance.

The Operations Management Role (Post Fab Startup) includes:
Creating, coordinating, and providing Site Safety Protocol Training and documentation.
Providing 24-hour management of Engineering, Maintenance and Facilities.
Overseeing staffing and performance management.
Managing customer engagement and related reporting.
Implementing and tracking Key Performance Indicators (Ops, Maintenance, Facilities).
Managing Equipment Qualifications and Tracking. Manage equipment preventative maintenance from execution to scheduling.
Overseeing and handling Silicon Starts/Shipments/Lot Changes/Factory Control Messages. Handling Daily Lot Planning Movement.
Coordinating and communicating Engineering Change Management from the systems to personnel.

Required Skills & Experience

Associates degree or higher in science, engineering or other relevant disciplines.
At least two years of work experience in science, engineering or other relevant disciplines with increasing experience and responsibility over time
5 years of experience with semiconductor equipment and processes such as metrology, lithography, vapor deposition, sputtering, plasma etching, CMP, wet cleans.
Experience managing Facilities, Manufacturing, Equipment and Production Control
Experience in management of Supply Chain, Shipping/ Receiving Operations, ITAR Implementation/Management, ISO900, Emergency Response Team are beneficial but not required
Extensive experience in a research or start-up environment

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree in science, engineering or other relevant disciplines.
More than 5 years of experience with semiconductor equipment and processes such as metrology, lithography, vapor deposition, sputtering, plasma etching, CMP, wet cleans.
