Job Description
We are seeking an experienced MEP Engineer to join our team at Giga Factory Texas in Ausn. The ideal
candidate will have 7-10 years of experience in designing, optimizing, and managing dry and wet
mechanical systems, with experience in industrial greenfield and brownfield projects.
Responsibilities:
• Understanding process requirements and crafting of the Basis of Design (BOD), to meet the users
requirements.
• Design and review MEP systems, HVAC dry and hydronics, plumbing, understanding of fire
protection, in accordance with project requirements and relevant codes.
• Interact with AHJ for compliance.
• Perform site inspecttions and quality checks to ensure construction aligns with design
specifications and standards.
• Apply ASHRAE, NFPA, ICC, ASME, and other applicable standards in HVAC system design and
energy calculations.
• Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, equipment schedules, system layouts, and
calculations.
• Lead equipment procurement workflows from RFP through PO and FAT and commissioning.
• Ensure MEP designs aligns and coordinated with architectural, structural, electrical, and process
system components for a cross-discipline coordinated project delivery.
• Oversee installationon and commissioning efforts, providing field engineering support as needed.
• Review submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings to verify compliance with specifications and design
intent.
• Collaborate with architects, consultants, and subcontractors to address technical challenges and
resolve conflicts.
• Assist in value engineering, cost opmizations, and constructability reviews.
• Maintain documentaon related to calculations compliance, system selections and field
modifications.
• Developed Sequence of Operartions (SOO) and commissioning documentaon; validated system
performance during startup to ensure alignment with design intent..

Required Skills & Experience
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in MEP engineering.
• Proven experience designing and coordinang MEP systems using tools such as Revit, AutoCAD,
ACC, BIM, Carrier HAP, or Trane Trace 700, and Revizto or Naviswork for clash coordinaon.
• Deep understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical design principles and their integraon in
large-scale projects.
• Strong working knowledge of ASHRAE standards and other applicable codes (e.g., NFPA, NEC,
ICC).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priories simultaneously.
