Job Description

EHS FIELD TECH SLC
Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Field Safety Technician to join our team and ensure the highest standards of safety across our job sites. This role is heavily field-based, requiring a hands-on approach to hazard identification, safety compliance, and team engagement. The ideal candidate is bilingual, well-versed in OSHA 10, 30, or 500 standards, and passionate about creating a culture of safety.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain a strong field presence (90–95% of time) across active job sites.
Identify and correct safety hazards in real time.
Conduct daily safety audits and upload documentation to the WT Program.
Lead and facilitate safety meetings and orientations for new hires and subcontractors.
Review and verify Daily Pre-Task Plans (PTPs) and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs).
Respond to incidents and accidents, gather information, and support investigations.
Ensure compliance with OSHA 1926 standards, including:
Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)
Excavation safety
Fall protection
Personal protective equipment (PPE)
Promote a proactive safety culture through coaching and accountability.
Qualifications
Experience: 1-3 years in field safety roles (construction or industrial environments preferred).
5 max.
Certifications: OSHA 10 & 30, First Aid/CPR (required).
Plus: OSHA 500
Language: Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred.
Skills: Excellent communication, documentation, and leadership abilities.
Tech: Familiarity with digital safety platforms (e.g., WT Program) and mobile reporting tools.
