Job Description

This role sits within the Data Intelligence & Systems team but works extremely closely with teams across the business - particularly Operations, including Field Engineering, Materials & Logistics, Supply Chain, and Customer Success.

We’re looking for an operations first data engineer who will embed with these groups while helping build and operate our enterprise data platform in Palantir Foundry, owning how data is ingested, modeled, and activated to power reporting, decision making, and intelligent automation across the company.

What You’ll Do
Embed with Operations
• Work closely with Field Engineering, Materials & Logistics, Supply Chain, and Customer Success teams
• Learn how 3D printed construction projects actually operate in the field
• Build trust with stakeholders by understanding their constraints, priorities, and day to day realities
Translate Operations into Data
• Turn real world workflows into clear, actionable views within Palantir Foundry
• Help define what should be measured versus what’s tracked today
• Partner with teams to answer core operational questions, such as:
o Where and why machines experience downtime
o Where materials are delayed, wasted, or misallocated
o What’s driving cost overruns, schedule risk, or rework
o What “good” operational performance actually looks like
Support Core Operational Use Cases
• Material operations — concrete production, inventory, cost, and forecasting
• Machine reliability — uptime/downtime trends, maintenance patterns, and field service data
• Cross team visibility — connecting operations, engineering, and customer delivery
Own Outcomes
• Take end to end ownership of operational data problems
• Work effectively through ambiguity—requirements won’t always be clearly defined
• Partner with consultants early, then progressively take full ownership of the work
