Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a CAD Designer / Engineer to work on site in Austin, TX and support the strategy and introduction of products based on unique and highly differentiated capabilities of a preeminent foundry for semiconductor systems and defense electronics companies. Their mission is to advance the state-of-the-art in critical semiconductor domains such as advanced packaging, and in the process to help restore U.S. leadership in semiconductor manufacturing. They are developing cutting-edge semiconductor manufacturing technology that will define future roadmaps of semiconductor devices including logic, memory, 3D packaged devices, including thermal management, etc. The Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Designer will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings, making modifications to existing drawings, modeling basic parts, and maintaining CAD files and related documentation.
Responsibilities:
Develop detailed technical drawings and 3D models with precision and accuracy.
Update and revise existing drawings to reflect changes and modifications.
Maintain organized CAD files and documentation for ongoing projects.
Oversee document control for released drawings and Bill of Materials.
Collaborate with engineers and designers to interpret design concepts.
Other related functions as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience
2+ years of experience in CAD design, drafting, or related fields.
Proficiency in CAD software.
Basic understanding of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and ISO drafting standards.
Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Additional certifications in CAD software or design principles
Experience in the semiconductor industry
Proficiency in Creo
Familiarity with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) software
Experience with fabricated part procurement and vendor discussions
