Job Description
Insight Global is looking to hire a Business Intelligence Analyst / Analytics Engineer in Austin, TX for our AI powered, due diligence & investigative reporting client. This individual will own the full data lifecycle from raw data ingestion to building clean, scalable data models and delivering business insights. They will partner closely with engineering to improve data pipelines and architecture, while working with product and operations to define key metrics and reporting needs. The role will focus on cleaning and structuring data, building a single source of truth, and developing dashboards that enable self-service analytics across the organization. This person will also help leadership make informed decisions by translating complex data into actionable insights and evolving the company’s long-term data strategy as the organization scales. This is a hybrid role (4 days in office, 1 day work-from-home) with a compensation range of $80,000–$110,000.

Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of experience in BI, data analytics, or analytics engineering
- Strong SQL skills (advanced querying, joins, performance optimization)
- Experience building data models and using transformation tools (dbt or similar)
- Experience with BI tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI, etc.)
- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and working with large datasets
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience with modern data stack (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)
- Exposure to AWS data services (DynamoDB, Redshift) and PostgreSQL
- Experience with Python for data workflows
- Experience in a startup or high-growth environment
- Familiarity with event tracking or analytics instrumentation
- Experience using AI tools like Cursor or Claude in development workflows
