Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst or Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support one of our client’s major modernization initiatives. This role will play a critical part in modernizing the legacy AS400-based system, critical to supporting $6 billion in funds. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in tax collection systems and proven success in financial/tax system modernization projects at the state, city, or county level. This position requires strong analytical capabilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams.

Required Skills & Experience

- Extensive experience supporting complex financial/tax system modernization initiatives
- Strong understanding of tax collection systems
- Prior government work experience at a state, city, or county level
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must sit within the state of Texas

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, MIS, or Public Administration is preferred (Master’s desirable)
