Job Description

Work under the direction of the Lead Process Engineer and/or Lead Designer
Prepare detailed construction drawings for:
- Pipe and duct layouts
- Mechanical equipment
- Create and revise:
- Engineering calculations
- Sketches and detailed drawings
- Design documentation in accordance with project standards and procedures
Coordinate and communicate directly with:
- Mechanical, electrical, and structural disciplines
- Other project team members
Ensure timely and complete production of:
- Drawing packages
- Spreadsheets
- Databases documenting design information

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills & Experience
- Plant 3D software experience
- Experience as a designer or drafter in process mechanical design
- Ability to understand and produce construction-ready drawings, including:
- Piping and ducting layouts
- P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams)
- PFD (Process Flow Diagrams)
- Mechanical components and supporting details
Education & Training
- Certification from a 2-year vocational school or completion of 2 years of college with coursework in drafting or engineering principles
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in drafting/design
Additional relevant education may substitute for part of the required experience

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Automotive industry, or government entity experience
