Job Description

We are seeking a Quality Engineer to support a fast-paced manufacturing environment, acting as the primary liaison between internal production teams and external customers to drive resolution of quality issues. This role involves daily monitoring of customer portals to identify concerns, investigating issues by reviewing engineering drawings and specifications to confirm compliance, and communicating findings across all levels of the organization. The Quality Engineer will support customer audits and visits, lead discussions in daily quality meetings, and report out on issue status and escalations. This position is split between the quality lab and production floor, providing hands-on support with inspections, SPC activities, and gage usage, while also maintaining key quality documentation such as control plans, PFMEAs, and process flows. Success in this role requires strong collaboration, clear communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while driving timely resolution of customer and production quality concerns.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
1–5 years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment (automotive preferred)
Experience with core quality tools: APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans
Experience with MSA (measurement system analysis, including Gage R&R)
Experience with SPC and process capability
Experience reviewing and maintaining PFMEAs aligned to control plans
Strong problem-solving experience (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone, FTA)
Experience working under IATF 16949 standards
Knowledge of GD&T
Ability to read and interpret 2D engineering drawings/blueprints
Experience working with OEM customer portals and reviewing scorecards/notifications
Comfortable being onsite working Monday-Friday 7 AM-4 PM, working 1 Satuday per month
