A Client is looking for a Structural Engineer to work on their Niagara Falls project in support of the environmental remediation of radioactive waste cleanup in Niagara County, NY for a 12-month contract with possible extensions possible perm. As a Structural Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on projects critical to our nation's security and scientific research. You will have an opportunity to design some of the most unique and rewarding facilities knowing your contributions matter. As a Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for the execution of assigned projects ranging from small upgrades to new green field designs. You will act as the structural design engineer for industrial and nuclear projects across the country. This position will also assist the Structural Engineering Discipline Manager in daily operations of design team. This project is currently at 60% design phase and this person will be working on structural analysis utilizing tools like STAAD Pro, MathCAD, and Revit to produce structural calculations that meet requirements of internal and client procedures. This person will be responsible for but not limited to; leading the hands-on design, owning packages, participate in project conceptual designs including design charrettes, etc. This person will be working in a heavy regulated nuclear DOE environment so someone who is familiar with industrial regulatory codes is imperative, codes like; ASCE7, ICE, ICC2018, ACI318, AISC360. S/He will need be writing very comprehensive analysis reports, sometimes over 100 pages, so this individual needs to be detail oriented and have the ability to communicate in an effective and professional manor.

2+ years' experience working as a Structural Engineer in industrial design
ex: Nuclear, power, solar, coal fire, steel, concrete etc.
Would also be open to heavy commercial but would need to have all the exp. below as well as would need to be very large builds to qualify with commercial.
Experience working with various regulatory codes.
Experience working with software applications like; STAAD Pro, MathCAD, Revit
This individual needs to be technically savvy
Experience putting together comprehensive design drawings
Must be a USC (If dual, needs to be with a member of NATO)
Must be willing to go on site on a daily basis
Situational remote exceptions apply during employment
Must be able to obtain a clearance
Excellent written and verbal communication with a high attention to detail
4 year B.S. ABET Accredited Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
Experience working in a federal nuclear facility
Experience designing the UFC criteria
Experience with NQA-1 Quality Program including design procedures, software quality assurance, and commercial grade dedication
Licensed PE or SE
Expert in regulatory codes like; ASCE7, ICE, ICC2018, ACI318, AISC360
Ideally expert in UFC and nuclear code ACI349, N690
