Job Description

Insight Global is searching for an experienced TN Roadway Design Engineer to support our West Gulf region located in Brentwood, TN. This position is responsible for complex engineering design tasks as well as marketing, business development, and client contact.
To be considered for this position, applicants must have, recent Design Engineer Experience or Project Manager Experience in Tennessee.

Required Skills & Experience

• B.S. or M.S. in Civil engineering from ABET accredited engineering program
• 4-8 years of Design Engineering experience or 4-8 years of Project Manager experience
• Must have proven skills in meeting DOT expectations, schedules and budgets
TDOT experience is preferred but not required
PE is preferred (Tennessee PE preferred)
Experienced in DOT design methods, plan preparation, standards, and specifications
Proficient with Open Roads Designer
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment. Volkert adheres to federal guidelines, which may include testing for substances such as marijuana. Please note that federal regulations may differ from state-specific guidelines
If applicable to the position, a post offer fit for duty evaluation to ensure the individual can safely perform the essential functions of the role
Valid driver’s license
A satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR)

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Highly preferred to have a P.E. or TDOT experience in Tennessee
