Job Description
A Fortune 250 Retail company based in Memphis, TN is hiring a SDET/Quality Engineer focused heavily on Warehouse Management (WMS) and Supply Chain Management (SCM) experience. This retail company is building a custom internal Warehouse Management System (WMS) for their Supply Chain vertical. This SDET / Quality Engineer to ensure reliability and scalability from day one. This role goes beyond UI testing—while the current coverage is mostly UI-based, you’ll lead the charge into API, microservices, and React front-end testing, and perform deep code-level analysis to identify root causes and improve design-for-test practices.
You’ll work closely with engineering and supply chain stakeholders to validate critical warehouse flows—inbound, outbound, and receiving—and leverage cloud AI agents (e.g., Claude) to accelerate domain-specific testing. Other responsibilities:
Drive test strategy and automation across UI, API, and microservices for the new internal WMS platform.
Perform deep dives into Java code to isolate defects and propose fixes.
Build robust Selenium suites for React UI and expand automation into service-level tests.
Design domain-aware test scenarios for warehouse operations (inbound/outbound/receiving).
Write and optimize SQL queries for data validation and performance tuning.
Use cloud AI agents effectively for WMS-specific tasks and diagnostics.
Operate in GCP environments; integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.

Required Skills & Experience
SDET/Quality Engineering experience with code-level debugging and RCA - 5+ years of experience
Strong WMS/Supply Chain domain knowledge and ability to model warehouse workflows.
Hands-on with UI (Selenium) and API/microservice testing.
Proficient in Java and SQL (joins, optimization).
Testing Experience: Selenium, Cucumber
Previous Tech stack: Java, React, Selenium, SQL
