Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Power BI Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business intelligence, data analytics, and visualization, with a proven ability to lead design and development efforts across multiple data intelligence products and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design, development, and deployment of Power BI solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver business intelligence solutions.
Develop and optimize complex DAX and SQL queries for data analysis and reporting.
Create and manage data models, reports, and dashboards using Power BI.
Integrate Power BI with various data sources and ensure data accuracy and consistency.
Utilize Power Query (M) and the Power BI service environment for data transformation and analysis.
Implement and manage Power BI Embedded and Azure Analysis Services.
Leverage the latest features in Microsoft Fabric, including alerting, goal setting, and CoPilot.
Design and develop paginated reports using Power BI Report Builder.
Manage and configure data gateways for secure data access.
Ensure best practices in data table design, stored procedures, triggers, maintenance, optimization, and indexing.
Adhere to Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand and meet their business intelligence needs.
Work in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality solutions in a timely manner.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of experience in business intelligence and release planning.
Proven ability to lead design and development efforts across multiple data intelligence products and cross-functional teams.
Strong experience in Power BI analytics, data visualization, and integration.
Proficient in writing and performance tuning queries in DAX and SQL.
Strong knowledge of DAX, Power Query (M), and the Power BI service environment.
Experience with Power BI Embedded and Azure Analysis Services (Azure Analysis Services experience is a hard requirement).
Familiarity with the latest features in Microsoft Fabric, including alerting, goal setting, and CoPilot.
Demonstrated knowledge of paginated reports (Power BI Report Builder).
Experience with creating and managing gateways.
Knowledge of data table design, stored procedures, triggers, maintenance, optimization, and indexing.
Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in an Agile environment.
Experience in health care, pharmaceuticals, or managed care is a plus.
Proficient with Microsoft Suite of communication tools (Teams, Excel, Word, PPT, Outlook).
