A client of Insight Global is seeking Finance Directors to serve as senior, business‑embedded finance leaders for two major manufacturing business units. These individuals will co‑own the P&L with the Business Unit EVP, lead BU‑level financial planning and forecasting, and provide decision‑ready insights that support disciplined growth, profitability, and capital allocation. The ideal candidates bring strong manufacturing finance experience, job‑level visibility (margin, WIP, cost‑to‑complete), and the ability to influence senior leadership in a fast‑paced, custom‑manufacturing environment. These roles synthesize plant‑level analytics into BU‑level narratives, trade‑offs, and strategic decisions.

Required Skills & Experience
* 10+ years of progressive finance experience, including significant manufacturing exposure
* Proven experience leading BU‑level budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range planning
* Strong financial modeling capability, including scenario and sensitivity analysis
* Experience supporting job‑level financial visibility (margin, WIP, cost‑to‑complete, cash impact)
* Ability to interpret complex operational and financial data and translate into decision‑ready insights
* Experience preparing and presenting monthly, quarterly, and annual business reviews
* Demonstrated ability to identify trends, risks, and opportunities and provide actionable recommendations
* Experience partnering with operations, supply chain, engineering, accounting, and commercial leadership
* Ability to influence without authority and support cross‑functional initiatives
* Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or related field (MBA, CPA, CMA preferred)
* Strong communication skills with the ability to influence senior leaders
* Proficiency in Excel, ERP systems, and financial planning/reporting tools
* Experience supporting multi‑site business units
* Ability to operate in a custom‑manufacturing environment with long‑lead production and complex cost drivers
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
* Experience co‑owning a P&L with business leadership
* Familiarity with percentage‑of‑completion revenue or large‑contract environments
* Exposure to operational KPIs, cost drivers, and production‑related financial metrics
* Additional ERP or BI/FP&A system experience (SAP, Oracle, Power BI)
* Experience leading or developing a BU‑level finance team
* Experience supporting strategic planning, pricing, or commercial negotiations
