Job Description

The E2 Electrical Controls Engineer is assigned projects to support the design, development, and implementation of automated production equipment, with a primary focus on electrical controls and PLC‑based systems. In this role, the engineer works through assigned project tasks while regularly touching base with Tim to review progress, align on next steps, and receive technical guidance as needed. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include assisting with translating machine concepts into electrical designs by identifying required I/O, selecting sensors and safety devices, and supporting control hardware selection. The engineer contributes to PLC programming, debugging, and testing using platforms such as ControlLogix and OMRON CJ/NJ, completing defined work independently while relying on senior engineers for more complex system‑level decisions. Shop floor time will vary depending on the phase of the project, with increased involvement during build, commissioning, and startup. The role operates within a collaborative, cross‑functional environment and provides exposure to robotics, AutoCAD Electrical, and project coordination activities, with training and skill development supported internally.
