Job Description

• Utilize the program timeline to clearly communicate deliverables and due dates to all stakeholders.
• Manage a gate process and seek appropriate signoff documentation at each event.
• Act as a central communication point for the team to ensure that each team member is aware of their deliverables and timing commitments at all times.
• Manage the team to meet cost, timing, manufacturing, and quality targets.
• Work with automotive customers (e.g., Nissan & Honda).
• Design, develop, and launch production experience.
• Use program management tools:
- Create checklists to ensure the team is delivering.
- Manage cost, delivery, and quality.
• Maintain good morale and a positive team environment.
• Lead without direct reports, ensuring accountability and delivery from others.
• Collaborate closely with the design engineering team, primarily through Teams meetings and build events.
• Work with the purchasing team and process engineering team in the plant, dealing with equipment and tooling.
• Coordinate with the quality team and gages to kick off support.
• Work with the supply chain management team on freight and packaging.
• Ensure readiness by moving from gate to gate.
• Conduct weekly meetings with various teams, setting up program manager meetings and cross-functional meetings to discuss timing and deliverables.
• Earn the respect of the team.
• Work remotely, being self-sufficient and experienced in working independently.
• Focus on managing a timeline, establishing schedules based on customer requirements (e.g., build in January, April, September) and working backwards to align tasks.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Business-related discipline OR 5 years of Automotive experience in Engineering/Program Management
• 3-5 years of experience in program management/engineering management
• Experience managing a team to meet cost, timing, manufacturing, and quality targets
• Project timeline and planning experience
• Strong Excel experience
• Program Management experience (ability to use program management software or Excel for project planning)
• Good presentation skills and ability to use PowerPoint

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Nissan or Honda experience
• Product experience within automotive dealing with interiors & trim
• SAP/PLM/PLEX software experience
• Microsoft Project experience
• PMP certification
