Fire Alarm Systems Designer

In this role, the designer's day-to-day activities involve preparing detailed project drawings, specifications, and schematics for electronic special systems like fire alarms and security systems. They verify project requirements and coordinate with Project Managers and Sales to ensure designs comply with Federal, State, and local codes. The designer layouts fire alarm devices on basic designs and understands various applicable codes such as IBC, IFC, OFC, IAC, and NFPA 72. Professional interaction with customers, vendors, and co-workers is essential, along with a commitment to continual learning and adherence to safety regulations and company policies. Additionally, they perform other duties as assigned by management, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.

NICET Level 2+
Minimum 3+ years of CAD design experience in fire alarm systems
Understanding of electronics and wiring requirements (voltage, amperage, voltage drop, etc.)
