Job Description

A client is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Knoxville, TN. This team designs mechanical components and systems for gas detection, sampling, and analysis. Current team makeup is One specific product is a fully automated system that collects and detects isotopes, distinguishing nuclear explosions. Continued project, continued retro fitting, and movement internally is the reason for the opening.

Required Skills & Experience

12+ years of experience developing CAD models
Solidworks
Experience with high pressure systems, vacuum systems, or gas collecting systems
Ability to gain a secret clearance

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Mechanical engineering degree
Familiarity with gas sensors and analytical instrumentation
Ability to read or design electrical schematics
PE
